I am neither photographer nor writer.  So it’s strange for me to be putting myself out here in this fashion.  I’m a 42 year old veterinary nurse in his second, or is it third maybe, act of life.  I have things left on my reasonably short personal accomplishments list.

1. Be part of one of those band things those young people are always talking about.

2. Learn iaido, because it’s totally badass.  It’s o.k., go look it up, I’ll still be here.

3. Start some kind of small animation production house to unite my interests in music, photography, anime, and story telling.  And no, I can’t draw worth a damn.

4. Put together an evolving web based art project examining life, living, death, dying, reality, perception, non-linear time, quantum physics, spirituality, and a whole bunch of other excuses to blow a bunch of artistic smoke up everyones ass through creative writing, funerary photography, web design, and what ever else I can think of.  Oh.  And cemetery porn.  Lots and lots of cemetery porn.

And because I’m a total genius I’m going with option 4 first.  I took my first picture of a cemetery in 2006.  I only started shooting in ernest in early 2011, after quitting smoking.  Because a coffee swilling, chain smoking, single with horrible relationships, overnight emergency room veterinary nurse had damn well better find something else to do when he goes to a nice day practice, stops smoking, gets married, and finds himself with 3 step kids, a mortgage, and the next wave of his own mortality crashing about his ears.  All in all, I’m doing pretty well with it.  Oh, and did I mention?  I’m trying to save the world.
